Information About Project

Analysis

The objective was to design and develop a professional, accessible website for the Centro Oncológico Figueroa-Cabrera, the first oncology and hematology center in Eastern Puerto Rico. The challenge was to create a site that reflected the center’s expertise and care for patients with cancer and blood disorders while emphasizing trust and accessibility for both patients and caregivers.

The project needed to meet the high standards of a medical institution while maintaining user-friendliness.

Ideation

The collaboration with Scalare.co involved identifying key website requirements, including clear communication of services, an approachable design, and technical robustness. A WordPress theme tailored to clinics and medical services was selected to expedite development while allowing for significant customization.

Key customizations included:

  • Incorporating the brand’s colors and typography to align with the center’s identity.
  • Developing content written by Tuko Alberto to communicate the center’s services effectively.
  • Designing a clean and professional layout to foster user trust.

Andrea Graham contributed to image editing and logo design, while Ricardo Frassati handled technical configurations and website customization.

Finish

The project was completed within two months, with the following key steps:

  1. Hosting and Domain Configuration: Hosting was acquired, and the domain was set up.
  2. Theme Setup: The WordPress theme was installed along with its demo content.
  3. Customization:
    • Brand colors and fonts were integrated into the theme.
    • Content provided by Tuko Alberto was adapted to fit the website structure.
    • Visual elements, including images and logos, were refined by Andrea Graham.
  4. Launch: After testing for functionality and usability, the website was successfully launched.

The resulting website provided an engaging and professional platform for the center to communicate its specialized services and connect with patients.

Update

The website was hacked in 2022, causing operational disruptions. It was successfully restored in 2024 by Ricardo Frassati, ensuring the center could continue serving its patients without further technical issues.
